Steven CALEY, aged 12, a member of the Isle Of Man Fencing Club, entered the
under 12s Foil at the British Fencing Championships held recently in Stoke and
finished 8th ; 61 fencers entered.
This was Steven's first big competition, and he now has a Bye through to the BYC
finals next year.
Steven also entered the senior Bob Carter this month and finished 2nd.
Very well done Steven.
The Isle Of Man Fencing Club is open throughout the schools holidays.
Seniors meet at St Johns on a Wednesday night, 7.30 – 9.30pm.
Isle Of Man Fencing Club .juniors ‘Tynwald Blades’ meet on a Monday night
6.30-8.30pm.

Junior Club:
The ‘BC’ is normally fenced : Juniors Monday & Seniors Wednesday nights during
the first two weeks of the month.
Points are gained: 5 for first place, 3 for second, 2 for third and one point
for entering. These points are accumulated over the twelve months,
Easter-Easter.
The fencer with the most points after twelve months wins.
