--------------------------------

The ‘Bob Carter’, started in 1993 by  Fencing Coach Ian Kneale Barrow as a ‘Hits Received ’ (HR) training exercise with just one Division, has proven very popular over the years with the young & not so young fencers from all over the island.

The Challenge Shields are on-going throughout the year & are open to all M.F.A. registered fencers. that are of BFA grade one or ‘BAF One Star standard or above.

The ‘BC’ is normally fenced on Wednesdays nights during the first two weeks of the month.

Points are gained: 5 for first place, 3 for second, 2 for third and one point for entering.  These points are accumulated over the twelve months, Easter-Easter.

The fencer with the most points after twelve months wins.
